Incredible place with basalt columns lining the canyon. The top viewpoint is closer to the parking but cannot go down to canyon.
To get down to the canyon continue signs for the canyon. Don’t park at the first parking area because it is still a long hike. Continue driving further. The coordinates for parking are 65.175,-15.270.
There are two ways to get there. The one with shorter hike is on the opposite side and the views are not that great and you cannot get down to the canyon.
The longer one is about 5Km walk each way (sometimes steep). You need to park at a private farm and hike from there. The river is not always green and could be muddy.
