Jokulsarlon is a glacier lagoon dotted with floating ice blocks and icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier, part of larger Vatnajökull Glacier.

Though the drive is long ( about six hours from Reykjavik) it is totally worth it. Take the boat ride for up-close views of the glacier. Winds are nasty, so don’t forget to layer up.
Also don’t miss the near-by black sand diamond beach.
Amazing Place
Amazing lagoon formed by the waters of the glacier. There are beautiful floating icebergs and seals in the lagoon. Surreal place.
