Highlight of the Trip
This is one of my favourite attractions of the trip. The temple is beautiful and the hike up the hill is not that difficult with plenty of stopping points where you can rest and admire the views. Main attraction is the Torii Gates. It’s often crowded, go early to avoid the crowds.
Top Spot
One of the most popular place and a must visit. It takes 2-3 hours to get to the main shrine with the path covered with thousands of Torii Gates. There are other smaller shrines and rest areas on the way.
