Q & A
  • Nestled in the heart of Escalante’s canyon country, Coyote Gulch is a winding semi-narrow canyon that winds its way down through red rocks and contains two arches, a natural bridge, waterfalls, secret black lagoon etc..

It has four entry points on the Hole-in-the-Rock dirt road, which requires 4×4 with large clearance and washboard driving experience. Depending on the entry point trail distance varies (26 mile roundtrip from Hurricane Wash Trail Head) and Sneaker Point Trail Head is one of the shorter hikes but requires climbing down a rock with ropes (not provided). All trails are strenuous and recommended only for experienced hikers.
