Diamond Beach is a volcanic black sand beach located right by the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, were ice blocks of different sizes and shapes drift ashore.

Jokulsarlon is a glacier lagoon dotted with floating ice blocks and icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier, part of larger Vatnajökull Glacier.
