Near the Land’s End trail, the colorful steps lead to the Lincoln Park and Golf Course. Though not as many as 16th Ave steps, still pretty and colorful.
Riding the historic cable car is a must do. There are three main lines. Two of them (Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason) routes start at Powell & Market in downtown. Powell-Hyde takes you to Fisherman’s Wharf with views of Alcatraz Island. The Third one is California Cable Car , which goes on the steep streets of Nob Hill.
You can get on them at the end points or the intermediate stops. Intermediate stops are less crowded but you may not get your preferred seating spot.
Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 are one of the most popular tourist places in the city with lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, sea lions, street performers, Ghirardelli Chocolate store, piers offering boat tours to Alcatraz etc..
