   Incredible Place

   Incredible place with colorful mountains, lava fields, hot springs and many hiking trails. It takes about 3.5 Hours of drive from Reykjavik. Part of it is a bumpy drive and you need a 4×4. But the views make the trip totally worth it.

   Good Photo-spot

   Good photo spot with the road leading to the church backdropped by mountain setting. In summer, the lupines fields line the streets as well. Take the picture on both sides of the church as both look equally beautiful.

   Scenic Views

   The crater lakes are on the way to Landmannalaugar. Ljotipollur is at the listed GPS and the Hnausapollur is just a little north, right by the road.

   Panoramic View

   One of the best panoramic views of the black sand beach. There are lower and upper areas. Upper area has a lighthouse and the panoramic viewpoint. Panoramic viewpoint may be fenced off for Puffin Nesting. Please be respectful to nature and don’t cross the fence if it is closed off.
   Lower area has the black sand beach with views of Eagle Rock.

    Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach is a popular beach with Basalt Columns, Majestic Sea Stacks, Eagle Rock and was featured in Game of Thrones, Star Wars and many more.
    Both sunrise and sunset are popular times for photography. Watch out for the waves, they are nasty.. don’t even get anywhere closer to them
