Nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the tropical jungles, Azulik Resort is adults-only, clothing-optional hotel and is steps from the beach and 6 km from Tulum. Offering thatched roofs, and terraces with sea or jungle views, the rustic-chic, electricity-free villas come with bathrooms, in-room tubs and beds with mosquito nets, as well as safes. Upgraded villas add individual features such as private beach access and outdoor tubs and/or hanging beds. Amenities include a bar/lounge. There's also a spa with massage and therapeutic treatments, yoga and traditional Mayan steam baths and ceremonies. Parking is free, and phone or battery charging stations are available.
Doesn't suit everyone
Rooms are dark and hot with bugs and mosquitoes. There’s is no air conditioning and rooms are warm. Architecture is good, just visit the museum and skip the hotel
Incredible architecture and design
Incredible design and architecture minus the conveniences of a 4-star resort. It’s more like camping, there’s no electricity or ac or showers in the room. Just stay for a day for all the cool pictures. Beyond that it will be a difficult stay.
Good stay
Stayed for couple of days. Well designed seafront villas and the staff are friendly. The museum is beautiful and the sunset experience is a must
Unique Experience
This is an unique experience. It is more like glamping. There are no lights, everything lit by candles, fan is loud (now they are upgrading to ac). If it is raining there could be water leaks. As long as you know these before hand and want to experience, then it is okay as the ambiance is good.
