Dyrhólaey is a small peninsula with a cliff featuring panoramic views, lighthouse and an arch. The lower area features a beach with views of Eagle Rock and Sea Stacks.
Please be respectful to the nature. The higher area viewpoint may be fenced off in summer for bird nesting. Please don’t cross the fence as it is illegal.
Nice Views of the Black Beach
Incredible place with views of unending black beach. It’s quite windy and the waves are huge. Waves drilled a hole in the lava arch making an arch.
Panoramic View
One of the best panoramic views of the black sand beach. There are lower and upper areas. Upper area has a lighthouse and the panoramic viewpoint. Panoramic viewpoint may be fenced off for Puffin Nesting. Please be respectful to nature and don’t cross the fence if it is closed off.
Lower area has the black sand beach with views of Eagle Rock.
